Comparing ingredients.

I sampled a lush moisturiser called Celestial, actually it was quite nice. below are just some of the ingredients you will find in what i use to use oil of Olay and what i am considering to use Celestial by lush

I have to say that the olay product does leave my skin looking so nice when i have got it on, but just compare the amount of chemicals in there! it is quite scary!I really dont want to put so many chemicals on my face. Do you look at whats in your pot? Do chemicals bother you?

read the instructions!!!

hey welcome anchor girl, thanks for joining me! so today i just wanted to write about how important it is not to overdo anything on your skin, if you use a product and it seems to be doing you wonders , keep within the limits... here is a story that will ward you off from doing so.

Mashallah I have never really had skin problems, but still wanted super radiant skin, so when i was a teenager i was really into making my own face mask and stuff and it was great! anyway i still used off the shelf products and one particular deep cleansing product i used i think was called skin clear, anyway it stated to be used once a week.... buy hey why listen to them, i used it daily for about 3 or 4 days can't quite remember then i found my skin starting to hurt, the next day when i woke up my skin looked awful i could not talk properly because it was so tight and dry i could not smile at all. as the days went on my face started to turn red ( my skin is olive tone) and it was also eid and we had guests over it was so embarrassing! anyway it got worse over the course of 3 days. i would compare it to someone who had been severley sunburnt. by the end of the week, the top layer started peeling ( i can hear you all laughing! stop it it was horrible!) any way after myself made chemical peel, mashallah i got my skin back! my mum threatened me that if i ever dared use anything again she would kill me! so i stopped using all of that and stuck to making my own stuff... so beware!

water water and more water....then loo



okay so we are told to drink roughly 8 glasses of water a day, that is about 3 pints,( 1.8 litres ) i only had 3 glasses and felt that i was constantly going to the toilet! maybe im doing it wrong, instead of an actual full glass each time perhaps it would be better to sip throughout the day......need to get one of those water bottles. but i heard that your body has to get use to the amount of water you feed it, so it is a case of just to keep going!


tea and coffee as i have heard do not count towards water intake, i think herbal tea is ok, not quite sure. I thankfully am not a coffe or tea drinker and im glad of it too actually!


okay here are reasons to drink water taken from my torn and tatted health book :


  1. oxygen is transported more effectively around the body



  2. your kidneys are flushed out more effectively, so this eliminates toxins, hence less toxins reach skins surface.



  3. skin cells are plumped up and lips hydrated, so you should see an improvement in skin and hair!

  4. improves your digestive system

  5. slows down signs of ageing love this one!

  6. easier to burn fat

  7. okay and this one i think is well worth considering i will quote it as it is in the book "more powerful and flexible muscles in the face and elsewhere. muscles hould be 3 quarters water and if they lose just 3 percent of that they lose 10 percent in strength." so girls down that water if you wanna look and feel good!

bean burger with wholemeal bread and a large helping of salad ( onions tomato, red green yellow peppers, chilli, coriander leaves, lettuce) this was really yummy oh i forgot the mayo added! but felt nutrious.

cranberry juice 2 glasses

water 2 glasses

few choc brownies

packet crisps

salad with meat rice ( very small portion )

few prawns

bowl of ice cream

i think i overate again!

naughty girl!

okay so the last two days have been appauling food wise and i feel too disgusted with myself to write it down. lets just say i had particularly bad pains in my tummy which is not good!
why am i such a fool, good food = good health bad food = bad health!
but i guess i did have some fruit yesterday which is better than nothing namely mangoes, jackfruit. this is a pic of jackfruit it looks ugly, and actually can have an unpleasant smell, i never ate this as a kid but now i try just for the sake of variety. there is a reasonwhy we have this at home which i will write about in my other blog. this blog is solely for ME things.








I know that i love lush products now. i have been using this thing called big shampoo and i love it! i fear that i may never use conventional shampoos again. the good side is that there are very few chemixcals just to preserve it. it is a wierd texture but it gives your head a good massage as it is sea salt. alongside this the lady in lush gave me a sample of this conditioner called jasmine and henna fluff eaze.
the lady told me it was a pre conditioner so you put it on dry hair and leave it to do its wonders. i have to say I love it! my hair is actually looking nice, or could that be beacuse i have neglected it so long!






I have to say that Mashallah i feel my skin is looking a lot nicer mashallah, i wonder if its that skin nanny moisturiser or the fact that i have been trying to cut down on fizz and add some fruit? i dont know!
But you know what it is so expensive £25! what to do, the other benefit is that the lady gave me a really really small sample and it has lasted me over a week! so in the long run???!!!

what i will be definitely buying is there skin masks, which are made fresh everyday and contain no chemicals what so ever cant wait! iv'e gone lush crazy again!!

the weekend was awful food wise, i ate so much rubbish and guess what i was in pain, from excess fizzy drinks and just nutrional less food. but that was partly due to two reasons 1) family birthday gathering 2) father in law troubles. i always reach for rubbish to fix my mood.

anyway despite how i felt i thought i would pamper myself, actually its not called pampering it is what people do on a normal basis, but the way my life is it is pampering.

i used this new product called big again from Lush it is a hair shampoo made of sea salt and some other good stuff and it smells great. my hair has suffered big time as it is constantly wrapped up in a scarf and never allowed to breath ( unless im in bed) anyway i went through a time of just washing my hair running my fingers through it and then tying it up, bad move after 3 weeks i could no longer run my fingers through my hair, yes thats right no brush involved. I was really really depressed at the time. anyway when one day i finally tried to tackle the knots it was too painful, my sis dragged me to a womans only hairdresser and i got my locks chopped off.
as i use to only shampoo my hair and NEVER condition it, it became brittle and horrible. But mashllah i have to say it is looking a lot healthier, no matter how depressed they make me im gonna try and at least do the basics. I also used a pre conditioner... forgotten what its called, lady gave me a sample to try.

today was again another bad day, i need to control my depression there is not a single fruit in todays binge!

Very bad food day

hardly ate today, and most of what i did was just total rubbish

1 slice of toast with oads of humous, made me feel sick

1 packet of crisps, 2 chocolate bars, glass pepsi

handful of rice with chicken
spicy beanburger

disgusting! not happy with myself at all!
